Overview

On 17 January 2026, TIC Foundation successfully conducted a community service initiative in Khayelitsha and Khayelitsha Town 2. The initiative aimed to support learners by providing essential school resources to help them start the academic year prepared and confident.

Contributions Made

TIC Foundation contributed the following items:

  • School Shoes:
    • 26 Pairs  
    • 10 Pairs were distributed to boys
    • 16 Pairs were distributed to girls
    • Total cost for all 26 pairs: R3,790.55

 

  • Stationery Packs:
    • Each pack included the following: Books, Pens, Ream Paper, Pritt, Colour Papers Pencils, Crayons, Highlighters, Roll-up crayons, Scissors, Rulers, Eraser, and Mathematics instrument box, Pocket files,
    • Total cost: R4,003.97

 

  • Transport Costs:
    • Total cost: R500.00

 

Total Amount Spent: R8,294.52

Implementation

All items were purchased, packed, and distributed by Ashura, Mama Zainab, and Iman, ensuring efficient and direct support to the beneficiaries.

Conclusion

This initiative demonstrates TIC Foundation’s continued commitment to community upliftment and educational support. The provision of school shoes and stationery contributed positively to learner readiness and morale within the Khayelitsha communities.
